Course Description

The "Exercise & Rehabilitation for Geriatric Patients with Cognitive Impairments" workshop equips you with the knowledge and practical strategies needed to deliver effective, empathetic care to older adults experiencing cognitive decline. As the global population ages and the prevalence of conditions like Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease rises, this course addresses the unique challenges in communication, behaviour management, and exercise prescription for this population. With a focus on promoting independence, enhancing healthspan, and ensuring safety, participants will gain skills in tailoring exercise programs, fostering engagement, and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams for holistic, person-centered care.
