This engagement session will provide an introduction to dementia, focusing on the fundamental aspects of the condition, common behaviours associated with it, and effective communication strategies within a clinical setting. Designed for healthcare professionals and support staff, the session aims to enhance understanding and promote compassionate, person-centred care for individuals living with dementia.
Dementia Training Australia is supported by funding from the Australian Government under the Dementia Training Program. We provide dementia training and education for Australia’s workforce. Our vision is that all people living with dementia, regardless of care setting and location, receive high-quality, evidence-based care that enhances their health and wellbeing.
